Grape variety: Nebbiolo, in purity

Area of production: Vineyards located in Treiso, exposure: South-West, soil composed of calcareous marl and clay. Altitude between 300 and 340 s.l.m.

System of breeding: Guyot

Yield per hectare: 55/60quintali, severe thinning in the vineyard

Harvest: around mid-October

Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature of 26° and 28° degrees for the duration of 8/12 days, frequent pumping over and malolactic fermentation.

Maturation: ages slowly for 14/16 months in tonnaux oak barrels, 70% first passage 30% second passage.

Average life of wine: age-worthy Wine, mature with the aging in the bottle, improving the organoleptic characteristics for several decades.

Tasting notes:

  • colour: ruby red purplish, bright and lively,
  • aroma: on the nose you will appreciate the intense scents of the floral of rose and violet, cherry and raspberry with notes spezziate and minerals
  • taste: on the palate, surprising for the elegance and balance of tannins, slight liquorice, a pleasant taste and a long aftertaste, persistent and very pleasant.

Gastronomic combinations: Excellent to accompany, great first, risotto or agnolotti, and the full range of meat, from veal cutlets or roast lamb, roast kid, its great elegance and complexity elevates it to a great meditation wine.
