Grapes: 50% Croatina 40%, Barbera 10% Uva Rara and Vespolina

Vinification: the grapes coming from The cru Montespinato, located in the municipality of Cigognola, are harvested entirely by hand when it is reaching their full maturation. After the pressing of the grapes, the must is left to macerate for 10-15 days in stainless steel after which it is drained. Then the wine, after a couple of rackings, it is set to age in French oak barrels where it will remain for about a year. In the autumn, two years after the harvest, the wine is then ready to be put in the bottle. In order to comply with the maximum integrity, the wine underwent only a light filtration before being bottled. Well suited to ageing

  • bouquet: intense, with spicy notes and hints of jam and berries
  • taste: the palate is full-bodied large-structured and persistence
